Behavioural Consults with Katie

One-on-one behaviour consultations for the prevention and modification of canine behavior problems.

Katie’s philosophy is to eliminate the stress for both you and your dog, by building strong foundations and helping you to see the world from your dog’s point of view.

Helping you understand why your dog acts the way it does. For dogs, living in a world they don’t understand can be very stressful and commonly results in undesirable behaviors.

Lets work together to discover those stressful triggers and shape you and your dog to living happier lives together.

As a member of the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants and the Canadian Association of Professional Dog Trainers, Katie is passionate to bring science based with a positive reinforcement understanding to all her consults.

Basic Manners Class

During this class we work on the following:

Linda Quinton of Clancy’s Way Dog Training is our in house trainer for lessons such as Puppy Classes, Basic Manners, Obedience and Advanced Obedience.

Linda provides classes multiple evenings throughout the week. For class schedules, registration and specific details please contact her directly

In these classes we emphasis foundation skills exercises in a positive reinforcement setting. The exercises taught help address common ‘nuisance’ behaviours such as pulling on the leash and jumping up on people. They are also designed to help condition calmness, stillness, and impulse control within your puppy.

During this class we focus on strengthening the behaviours learned in Basic Manners Class. We also work on the behaviours required to pass the Canadian Good Citizen test which include:

  • Leave it
  • Drop it
